# SEMET's Capstone Project Showcase

On Tuesday April 11^th^, SEMET's sixth-semester students from the Electromechanical Engineering Technology – Automation program \(EMA\) hosted their own “Capstone Project Showcase” at Newnham campus.

Faculty, students, and industry members were invited to walk around and experience first-hand demonstrations of the projects. These automation and IoT-ready projects were designed and constructed by each student team over a period of 12 weeks. Final projects included:

- A restaurant dining system
- Driveway salt sprinkler
- Subsurface dripline irrigation system
- Security mailbox with theft deterrence
- Potable rainwater generation.
