# Classroom Essentials

By the end of this module participants will be able to:

- Locate the [Course Outline](https://employees.senecapolytechnic.ca/spaces/39/the-teaching-learning-centre/wiki/view/5093/course-outline "Course Outline") to identify course assessment plan and course topics
- Locate the [Addendum / Weekly Schedule](https://employees.senecapolytechnic.ca/spaces/39/the-teaching-learning-centre/wiki/view/5101/addendum-weekly-schedule "Addendum / Weekly Schedule")
- List the reasons for [Assessing Learning](https://employees.senecapolytechnic.ca/spaces/39/the-teaching-learning-centre/wiki/view/5104/assessing-learning "Assessing Learning") http://open2.senecac.on.ca/sites/classroomessentials/4-assessing-learning/ and some methods used to assess students
- List different methods of [Engagement](https://employees.senecapolytechnic.ca/spaces/39/the-teaching-learning-centre/wiki/view/5105/engagement "Engagement")  to promote student discussion and active learning
