# Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning

Under the [Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act](https://www.ontario.ca/page/accessibility "AODA")\(AODA, 2005\) it is your responsibility to ensure that all of your documents, powerpoints, videos, images, pdfs, videos, etc., are in accessible formats.

To learn how to create accessible documents, see the [Creating Accessible Documents](https://employees.senecapolytechnic.ca/spaces/56/accessibility-at-seneca/wiki/view/665/creating-accessible-documents "Creating Accessible Documents").

[Universal Design for Learning \(UDL\)](http://www.cast.org/our-work/about-udl.html#.XQ0MNOhKg2y "UDL ") is a framework to improve and optimize teaching and learning for all people based on scientific insights into how humans learn. [UDL guidelines](http://udlguidelines.cast.org/?utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=none&utm_source=cast-about-udl "UDL guidelines") offer suggestions to ensure all learners can access and participate in a meaningful way in your classes.
