# Strategic Plan and Academic Policies

Everything we do at Seneca is grounded in [**The Next: Seneca's Strategic Plan 2023 – 2026**](https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/reports/strategic-plan.html).

All of Seneca’s policies are available on the [policy hub](https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies.html). The [Academics and Student Services Policies](https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies/academics-and-student-services.html) and the [Standards of Practice](https://employees.senecapolytechnic.ca/spaces/39/the-teaching-learning-centre/articles/press-release/6277/standards-of-practice "Standards of Practice") applies to all programs offered by Seneca Polytechnic, in any location.

In particular, faculty should be familiar with the following policies:

- https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies/academics-and-student-services.html[Academic Integrity Policy](https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies/academic-integrity-policy.html)

https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies/grading-policy.html
- https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies/grading-policy.html[Learn@Seneca Minimum Requirements Policy](https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies/learn-at-seneca-minimum-requirements-policy.html)

- https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies/learn-at-seneca-minimum-requirements-policy.html[Student Assessment Policy](https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies/student-assessment-policy.html)

- https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies/student-assessment-policy.html[Student Progression and Promotion Policy](https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/about/policies/student-progression-and-promotion-policy.html)

When faculty are assigned a new \(to them\) course to teach, the best place to start is with the syllabus for that course. Any curriculum development should be guided by the course learning outcomes; all evaluation should be based on course learning outcomes.

Syllabi are posted on Seneca’s website – search for any syllabus using the [Seneca Syllabus Repository.](https://cat-admin.senecapolytechnic.ca/class-search/ "Seneca Syllabus Repository")
