The Educational Technology Advisory Committee (ETAC) is going strong. So much has happened over the past few months since our kick-off meeting back in March 2017 that it’s hard to believe we are not yet a year in. We’ve had some great discussions: Active Learning Classroom (ALC) layouts; Open Educational Resource (OER) options; new learning tools available in My.Seneca, in the Cloud, and in the classroom; and so much more.
One of the most exciting initiatives that ETAC has been involved in is Seneca’s upcoming Digital Learning Strategy (DLS). The input provided by committee members has shaped the “hot off the press” Digital Learning Strategy Backgrounder (PDF). This document lays out some pillars, principles, and drivers that will guide upcoming consultations with the Seneca community – happening early in the new year. We would love your input. Here are just a couple of ways to get involved and have your say:
If you would like to find out more about what ETAC is up to, visit our ETAC Community Organization in My.Seneca (login to My.Seneca > click the “Community” tab > enter “ETAC” in the organization search box > click “Go” > click the link to “ETAC-ORG”).
As always, if you have any questions or comments about the work of ETAC, please don’t hesitate to email me at Kevin.Pitts@senecacollege.ca.
