The Hybrid/Online Course Quality FrameworkAs part of Seneca’s commitment to quality and teaching standards of practice, a Quality Framework has been developed to measure hybrid and online courses: Seneca’s Quality Framework for Designing & Delivering Online Courses.pdf. This quality framework can be used as a guide when developing hybrid and online courses and as a tool to evaluate existing online and hybrid courses.

Based on industry-recognized best practices and standards, the framework covers a variety of topics including learning outcomes, instructional strategies, UDL, assessments, and rubrics. My.Seneca Minimum Requirements, Seneca Standards of Practice, and Core Literacies are also embedded within the framework so that faculty can ensure these components have been addressed in course design.

The framework is available to both Faculty and Administrators in a downloadable PDF on The Teaching & Learning Centre. If you have questions about the framework or how to interpret it, please contact Karen Spiers at ext. 24111 or karen.spiers@senecacollege.ca.
