This film investigates the economic & environmental instability that many Indigenous & Black communities face in Canada, based on the book “There’s Something in the Water” by Dr. Ingrid Waldron. Focusing on the long-standing issue of clean water in Indigenous communities and the resulting health disparities for both Indigenous & Black people, this is a first-hand account of how environmental racism chips away at the wellness and prosperity of their communities. However, the women of these communities have taken a stand and are fighting for a better future for everyone.
