Nov. 25th 1pm-3pm – Take Back the Night
Join us on November 25th, 2022 for Take Back the Night as we kick off this year’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence! We are excited to welcome panellists; speakers, and performers to engage with our community and to come to together in solidarity with survivors of gender-based and sexual violence. This year’s theme will focus on understanding gender-based and sexual violence in digital spaces.

Roxanne Francis; psychotherapist, social worker, and social justice warrior.
Samanta Krishnapillai; Founder, Editor-In-Chief, and Managing Director of On Canada Project, mobilizing millennials and Gen Z to create equitable, evidence-informed change.
Sheliza Jamal; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion leader, educator, facilitator, and speaker.
Moderated by Stacy Lee Kong; writer, editor, and cultural critic, and the founder of Friday Things, a weekly newsletter that delivers smart takes on weekly pop culture stories.
Keynote Speaker:
Rosel Kim; lawyer at Women’s Legal Education & Action Fund (LEAF) and one of the founding members of Asian Canadian Women’s Alliance.
Special Guest:
Kristyn Wong-Tam; NDP Member of Provincial Parliament (Toronto Centre); Critic, 2SLGBTQ+ Issues; Critic, Attorney General; Member, Standing Committee on Justice Policy.

This year’s Take Back the Night is hosted by the Red Dot Project and is supported by First Peoples@Seneca, Seneca Student Federation, and Seneca.
