On June 25, 2024, Seneca Business's Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) team hosted its 3rd Annual PRME Applied Research Conference (PARCON) under the theme "Driving Sustainable Change through Business Innovation."

This event highlighted Seneca Business's commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) within the Seneca community and beyond, through practical research and strategic partnerships with various organizations and industry leaders. “We are here to challenge conventional thinking, share our diverse perspectives, and co-create solutions that address the pressing environmental and social issues of our time,” said PRME and School HR & Global Business Chair, Shahrzad Farzinpak as she graced the event.

Presentations covered intersecting themes on business innovation, AI integration, educational strategies, environmental resilience, and context-specific sustainability initiatives. Alongside these presentations and engaging Q&A sessions, the conference also featured a keynote address delivered by Seneca AI thought leaders Panos Panagiotakopoulos and Kent Peel.

Attendees also had the opportunity to learn and engage with exhibitions from Seneca Works, Sustainable Seneca, and Seneca Applied Research, as well as opportunities for networking, allowing participants to connect with peers, and industry professionals and build valuable connections that could potentially lead to future partnerships and initiatives aimed at advancing sustainability goals within their respective fields. The event was hosted by Dwangelyn Kayle Palma and Carol Lorenzana, PRME team members and professors at Seneca Polytechnic.
