Generating Test Questions

The AI Design Assistant can generate test questions based on your course content.

Generating Test Questions

  1. Select the plus icon (+) on the Content page. A drop-down menu is displayed.

  1. Select Create from the drop-down menu. The Create Item panel is displayed.

  1. Select Test. The New Test panel is displayed.

  1. Enter a title to name the test.

  1. Select the plus icon (+) and choose Auto-generate questions.

  1. You can choose from the generated questions or you can add more information in the Define questions pane:

    1. Add a description

    2. Select items from your course

    3. Choose a question type

    4. Adjust the complexity

    5. Specify the number of questions generated

Select Generate to run the question generation process again.

Tip: Even if you don’t add any more information in the Define questions pane, you can select Generate to run the question generation process again to generate a different set of questions.

  1. If there are any questions you would like to add to your test, select the checkbox next to the desired question(s), then select Add # to Assessment. The generated questions will be added to your test. You need to review each generated question and its settings for accuracy and appropriateness before making them available to students. See the Creating a Test article for more information about Test Settings.
