Adding Files, Images, Audio, and Videos

You can upload files directly from the Course Content page, or using the built-in text editor on BlackBoard Ultra.

Important note on videos: Do not upload video files directly to Blackboard Ultra. Videos should be uploaded to Microsoft Stream or YouTube. This ensures the videos are playable by all students, work across all devices, and are unlikely to run into issues with quality and playback. Blackboard is not particularly good at storing and playing videos.

Adding Files Using the Built-In Text Editor

Adding files from the text editor allows you to add files into discussion board or journal instructions, assessments, documents, or quizzes.

If you want to attach files from your computer, you can use the paperclip icon and find the file on your device:

You can also add content from the web, images, YouTube videos, or files from cloud storage.
