Additional Information on Using Course Links

One of the most common uses of Course Links in Blackboard Original was to list an assessment in both an Assignments folder and the week’s material in which it is assigned. While this is possible in Ultra, it is not necessary. Students can view and access all their assessments from Gradebook.

This works better for students since they can see when things are due and complete assessments from their Gradebook menu instead of having to navigate to the assessment within the course content area.

Course links are best used to refer back to previous items covered in the term, rather than for placing assessments or activities in two different places.
