Attaching a Rubric to an Assessment

Rubrics help students focus on expectations, and also help instructors evaluate graded work. You can associate rubrics with tests, assignments, or discussion posts.

Note: For tests and assignments, you must associate a rubric before adding questions. For discussions, you must first enable grading before you can associate a rubric.

Enabling Offline Submissions

  1. Select the gear icon on the item you want to attach a rubric to. The Assignment Settings panel is displayed.
  2. Select Add grading rubric underneath Additional Tools.
  3. Select Add next to the Rubric you want to add. Rubric is attached.
