Making your Course Available

New courses by default are not available or visible to students, allowing you to create and organize content before a student can access it. Before the semester starts, you need to open your course so that students can access its materials. You can open a course from within the course itself or from the Courses page.

Opening a Course from within

  1. Select Students can't access this course from the Details & Actions pane. Screenshot of step 1 on From Inside the Course as explained on this page
  2. Select Open to Students. The course is open and available to students. Screenshot of step 2 on From Inside the Course as explained on this page

Note: You can close the course the same way.

Opening a Course from the Global Page

  1. Select Courses from the Global list. Screenshot of step 1 on From the Course Page as explained on this page
