Like all new teaching methods or approaches, there are both challenges and affordances associated with this mode. We emphasize three things as you embark on your Flexible teaching journey:
Be Yourself! Everyone who teaches Flexible does it in their own unique way. Consider how Flexible can work for you and your students.
Keep the lines of communication open. Are your students understanding your expectations? Do they have any questions about being in the classroom versus being online? How is Flexible working for them? You can assess and iterate together until you have a plan that works.
Flexible teaching is more than the technology which enables it. Learn the technology through the support in ITS, and explore more resources here about how to design your course to meet your students’ learning needs.
