Google Jamboard is an interactive whiteboard system. You can write, draw, use post-it notes, images, and more. Share the link to the jamboard, change the permissions to anyone can edit, and students can join you to brainstorm, complete an activity, or just have fun!
Please note: Google will wind down the Jamboard app in 2024. Here are the key dates: As of Oct. 1, 2024, you will no longer be able to create new Jamboards. Between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2024, existing Jamboards will be placed into view-only mode. You will not be able to access your Jamboards on or after Dec 31, 2024.

Google Jamboard is free with a Google account. Seneca does not have a licence for this tool. However, the whiteboards in Microsoft Teams* and Zoom* offer similar functionality.

The guide provides guidelines and examples to help faculty consider the information students might be giving up when using a new tool. It is intended for quick use of free or low-cost online tools and not for larger, more costly tools that require more rigorous data privacy vetting.
