In Accessible Presentations and Documents using PowerPoint and Word, we will apply the accessibility guidelines and requirements for digital content learned in Foundations of Creating Accessible Content to creating accessible document. We will modify inaccessible content to comply with accessibility standards. We will dive into PowerPoint and Word documents and practice making them accessible. You will be introduced to the use of accessibility checkers in PowerPoint and Word as well as the different features in these software applications to make documents accessible.

As well, we will review best accessibility practises for teaching/presenting and make sure that the presentation is done as accessibly as possible.

Prerequisite: Foundations of Creating Accessible Content

Course dates: Mar. 3-24, 2026

Please note: this is a three-week course with three synchronous sessions.
