"Tools for Developing Your 'Multiple Means' Muscles"
Sherri Parkins
October 27, 2020
Part of the Micro-teaching Sessions
The mantra of “Multiple Means” in Universal Design for Learning considers engagement, how we represent content, and how we evaluate, through action and expression, if students have achieved objectives in a course. We will start off this session exploring some reasons why “Multiple Means” will benefit ALL students including those with accessibility needs. We will take a tour of the new Blackboard Ally feature. Finally, we will dive into options for engagement, representation, and action and expression. At the end of the session, you can disconnect and then try to connect a new “Multiple Means” tool in your course.
