Seneca Polytechnic is celebrating a major achievement — our students placed 1st at the ERPsim Year‑End Cup WEST 2025, held on December 18, 2025. This international competition challenges teams to apply real‑world business decision‑making in SAP environments, and Seneca’s performance highlights our leadership in applied business and technology education.

Meet the SAP Star Team

Led by faculty members Sophia Yi and Thomas Perdue, the winning team showcased exceptional strategy, collaboration, and technical expertise:

  • George Francis – Demand Manager with strong sourcing analytics
  • Thu Hang Duong – Sales Manager & Market Analyst
  • Divineshia Sharon – Sustainability‑focused Analyst with advanced OData and reporting skills

Their success demonstrates the strength of Seneca’s experiential, industry‑aligned curriculum.

Learning That Aligns With Industry

Students leveraged innovative SAP Sustainability tools, including SAP Sustainability Footprint Management and SAP Sustainability Control Tower, to analyze data and make high‑impact decisions. These skills align directly with emerging workforce needs in:

  • sustainability reporting
  • data‑driven decision-making
  • green supply chain management

Their achievement reinforces Seneca Business’ commitment to hands‑on, future-focused learning.

Collaboration Across Programs

Students from SCM820 and SCM920 played a key role in this accomplishment. Special thanks to Thomas Perdue and Jim Wyer for their leadership in the Seneca Business Simulation Championship.

We also acknowledge Jeff McCarthy, Dean of Seneca Business, for championing technology‑enabled, sustainability‑driven approaches to education that empower students to excel.

Proud. Inspired. Ready for What’s Next.

This win reflects the power of teamwork, innovation, and communication — values that drive Seneca’s approach to learning every day.

Congratulations to the SAP Star Team and everyone who contributed to this success!
