Join us for the Water Walk around Lake Seneca, celebrating Indigenous culture and heritage, hosted by First Peoples@Seneca, , and Seneca Student Federation (SSF)

When: Monday, October 7 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Where: Gather at The Hive, Seneca Student Federation, Magna Hall, King Campus

A water walk is an Indigenous-led event that honours the water and brings attention to the need to preserve and protect our waterways. From an Indigenous perspective – in ceremony, women are the caretakers of water and we honour the moon as she is the one who regulates the water. Honouring the water brings us closer to our mother the Earth.

The water walk involves a 700 M or 10-minute walk from Magna Hall to the shores of Lake Seneca. All are welcome to attend!
