My journey into GAP was born from a desire for self-discovery and autonomy. At a pivotal moment, I sought renewal and the chance to forge my path independently. The General Arts Program at Seneca Polytechnic beckoned with its promise of innovation and a nurturing environment for exploration. Enrolling in GAP felt like stepping into a community dedicated to fostering success. Professors and peers alike offered unwavering support, propelling me toward excellence.

Amidst this supportive environment, a particular professor stood out, becoming a mentor whose influence shaped my academic journey and future aspirations. Their dedication underscored the transformative power of mentorship, empowering me to grow personally and professionally, shaping my values, and inspiring a sense of responsibility to advocate for a more equitable society, ensuring that everyone has a fair chance to thrive regardless of their background or circumstances.

Today, immersed in Behavioural Sciences, I strive to use my passion for enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. GAP provided the perfect environment for my success, offering diverse courses and hands-on experiences that shaped my skills and ignited my passion. My future is committed to fostering inclusivity and empowerment, whether through direct assistance or educational advocacy. As I chart my course forward, I urge new students to seize every opportunity, manage their time effectively, and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. With a mindset of continuous improvement, success becomes not just a goal but a journey of self-discovery and impact.
