Educational institutions play a special role in building a more equitable world. At Seneca, we are a global community of many races, abilities, religions, genders, sexual orientations and ethnicities. We are committed to building an equitable and accessible Seneca, free of systemic racism and discrimination. We recognize that our community has also experienced discrimination, abuse and barriers to education and security, which is why everyone is responsible for equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives for students and employees to be integrated successfully at Seneca.

We want to ensure that a great Seneca education is in reach for anyone and everyone looking to pursue it. We also want to make sure that everyone at Seneca feels welcome, seen, heard and supported inside and outside the classroom. This isn’t always easy and it is always a work in progress. Sustainability

Sustainability is one of the three pillars of Au Large. Within Seneca’s sustainability plan, we are focusing on four priority themes: leadership, community, education and research, and operations. This is evident in academic programs, services, applied research and physical spaces. Sustainability is a complex objective that includes social equity, cultural vitality and economic responsibility. Universal Design for Learning

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a  framework that guides educators to consider the three principles of Universal Design for Learning; multiple means of engagement, representation and action and expression. At Seneca, we are working to make our institution accessible and barrier-free.
