Seneca's Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) program supports faculty-led research into student learning and teaching practices. Educators explore their own classrooms and share findings to improve teaching and deepen understanding of how students learn. At its core, Seneca’s SoTL program is grounded in curiosity, reflection and a shared commitment to enhancing the student experience.
This year, we were delighted with the exceptional number of strong applications from faculty across the polytechnic. The range of ideas, perspectives and innovative approaches reflects the creativity and care Seneca faculty bring to their teaching every day. It was inspiring to see so many educators asking meaningful questions about student learning and developing new ways to support student success.
Thank you to everyone who attended the information sessions and joined the SoTL Community of Practice this year. Your engagement made this year’s competition especially meaningful. While only a limited number of projects could be selected, every application was strong and deserving of recognition.
