Seneca XR Framework

The Seneca XR Framework supports a team-based approach to the selection and/or development of XR experiences and their integration into the course curriculum through the Teaching & Learning Centre. We offer the following supports and services:

  • Effective use of XR in teaching and learning
    • We connect faculty with literature on the educational benefits and best practices of immersive learning.
  • Course implementation
    • We offer guidance to faculty on developing and organizing XR learning activities for their courses.
  • Access to equipment and training
    • All faculty and students using our equipment receive training on proper use. No prior experience is necessary.
  • Instructional design and development of XR experiences
    Instructional design support is available for a wide variety of XR experiences, including:
    • Interactive 360 images and video
    • Interactive games
    • Virtual desktop simulations*
    • Augmented/ mixed reality mobile apps*
    • Virtual reality apps*
    • Metaverse worlds
  • Impact research
    We assist with the collection of data to evaluate the impact of XR projects and promote continuous improvements.
