View all the Teaching & Learning Centre Spark Plugs!
by Anh Lam, Project Manager, eLearning Specialist in the Teaching & Learning Centre
In early 2020, eCampusOntario solicited applications for institutions across Ontario to create online learning resources as part of a “Virtual Learning Strategy.”
Over the past year, Seneca has been working on creating an accessible and flexible 4-week asynchronous online course resource to guide and support high-quality online course development that will result in quality learning experiences to set students up for success.
Designing and Developing High Quality Student-Centred Online/Hybrid Learning Experiences is a collaborative project between Seneca College, Humber College, Kenjgewin Teg, Trent University, and Nipissing University that aims to support individual faculty members, as well as teaching and learning centres at colleges and universities with resources and guidance to help them refine their course design skills and innovate with new online teaching strategies for student success.
This online course provides learners with strategies and tools to create well-organized, accessible, and culturally inclusive courses that engage learners and help them achieve their learning goals in a virtual environment.
