Advancing Learning is the province's leading educational technology conference since the 1990s. They work to foster an environment where educators come together to share their experiences with their colleagues from across the province. Their goal is to advance education in Ontario by learning from practicing educators about topics related to innovative educational technology and its use in higher education.

The next Advancing Learning conference is May 11 and 12, 2023 at Durham College (Oshawa, ON). Save the date now!

About the conference

Paths to Reinvention pays tribute to the different ways in which educators and institutions have created and leveraged new approaches to teaching and learning coming out of the pandemic. The conference will visit the lessons learned from pandemic remote delivery that are here to stay and explore the resulting reimagined and reinvented approaches to face-to-face, online, and flexible (HyFlex) teaching and learning.

Advancing Learning 2023 will consist of a variety of highly interactive sessions and hands-on workshops – including networking and social events – designed by educators in Canadian higher education just like you! Explore technology-enabled learning, best practices in tech-infused pedagogy, instructional design, HyFlex, accessible course design, and so much more.

Advancing Learning is for practicing educators in higher education looking to enhance technology-enabled teaching and learning at their institution, such as:

• faculty and educators
• instructional designers
• multi-media specialists
• education technology specialists, and
• academic management and leadership
