What are program ancillary fees? 

Program ancillary fees are compulsory fees charged in some courses that require materials or equipment that are not included in tuition fees.

These fees are unique to certain courses and are not included in the list of ancillary fees that all students pay.

If a student is enrolled in a course(s) that includes program ancillary fees, they will see these fees itemized on Student Home, by choosing “Financial Account,” then “Account Activity.”

What do program ancillary fees cover? 

Program ancillary fees cover:

• travel and accommodation expenses for compulsory field placements and overnight field trips
• specific learning materials, equipment and clothing retained by students
• materials which are used in the production of items which become the property of students
• materials for which Seneca acts as a broker for a vendor providing material to students
• work integrated learning and co-op opportunities
