Supporting Women with Business Communication Tools | Faculty of Continuing Education and Training | Seneca Polytechnic

Seneca HELIX’s HERizons program is helping to dismantle gender barriers in the workplace by providing free career support and training specifically developed for women.  Along with a math course, the program will offer a free workplace communication course.  This English course will cover effective writing techniques to write reports, emails and resumés. Participants will also learn how to improve verbal communication skills for presentations, negotiations and more. 

In addition, participants will get access to the InStage Virtual Reality Platform which will let them practice English speaking skills through virtual reality simulations, so they can practice in the comfort of their own home and see their progress on avoiding filter words, minding the number of pauses they have while speaking and much more.

Business English Course:

• Start Date: Oct 17, 2022

• End Date: Dec 7, 2022

• Online classes: Mon 6pm-8pm, Wed 6pm-9pm

Description: This course teaches effective writing techniques to draft common business documents such as reports, emails and resumés. This is a non-credit course. Certificate of completion available and based on attendance.
