The Bear's Lair Event November 17th

The Bear's Lair Event November 17th

On Friday November 17th, the Office of Reconciliation and Inclusion and First Peoples@Seneca organized The Bear's Lair event at the Red Tape Brewery, Toronto’s first and only Indigenous owned brewery.

Colleagues from the Faculty of Arts, First Peoples@Seneca, and the Office of Reconciliation and Inclusion had the opportunity to discuss their experiences applying the principles of Indigenization and reconciliation in their work.

Groups discussed challenges that are met when embedding reconciliation into teaching and curriculum as well as opportunities for change within professional settings.

Gratitude goes out to Sean and Sarahbeth Holden for welcoming the group into their award-winning establishment.

This gathering aligns with Seneca’s Next strategic plan and fortifies the Au Large Equitable pillar. Similar FOA events are on the horizon for the advancement of Seneca's culture.

All are welcome!
