Curriculum Integration Newsletter: Oct 30-Nov 3

Hello Curriculum Integration Faculty Champions,

Welcome to our inaugural Curriculum Integration (CI) newsletter! This will be a bi-weekly newsletter, where we share concepts, curriculum, and classroom connections to help support your ongoing work in the three priority areas. Check out some exciting resources, developments and events below!

1. Curriculum Integration Website

The CI team is busy building a variety of resources to support your integration work, including a Curriculum Integration website. Please visit here to check out CI’s new online home! Anyone interested in Curriculum Integration can visit this site and find priority area-specific resources, as well as the overall Curriculum Integration framework. Keep coming back to see what else we have in store for you!

2. Faculty Voices

Enjoy this testimonial from Nigel Wynne, SELS faculty member, about one way he integrates reconciliation, EDI, and sustainability in his courses. What ideas for your classroom does his testimonial spark?

On Monday, October 23, 2023, Teaching & Learning hosted a fall event, Cultivating Sustainability in Our Classrooms. The day focused on integrating sustainability in curriculum and classroom. Along with keynote speakers Fikile Nxumalo and Preeti Nayak, faculty shared and reflected on their work in sustainability. Please visit the T&L Sparkplug article for a full write-up of the day’s fantastic events.

After the intensity of the summer CI sessions, it's cool to sit back and see the new website and an overview of went on. Thank you for keeping us connected.
