Intravenous therapy is a complex nursing skill that all nursing students must master. Patient safety depends on the correct administration of the right dose of medication to the right patient via the right route.

The Intravenous Medication Dosing and Delivery XR experience allows nursing students to practice and develop proficiency in IV therapy skills in a safe environment. Starting in a fully stocked hospital medication room, students interpret a physician requisition to calculate dosage and flow rate and prepare the injection, before moving to a patient room to converse with the patient and administer the medication. This experience includes 10 unique patient scenarios giving students many opportunities to refine their skills.
